Who we are

Birmingham Angels ("we", "us"), 35 Bull Street, Birmingham B4 6AF, is responsible for the personal information you share through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, phone number, email address and message.
  • Find a Carer form: your contact details, postcode and information about the care needed, such as who it's for, age range, support and mobility needs, when care is needed and how it may be funded.
  • Callback request: your name, phone number, preferred time to call and any message.
  • The page of our website you sent the form from.

Information about care needs can include health information. We only ask for what we need to respond and to begin arranging suitable care, and we use it only for that purpose.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, call you back, arrange a free care assessment and match you with a suitable carer. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you send us and, for health information, on your explicit consent when you choose to share it. We don't use your information for automated decision-making, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

  • Our enquiry management system: enquiries are recorded in the shared enquiry system operated for our sister service, Live-in Care Direct (api.liveincaredirect.org), so our team can manage and follow up enquiries consistently.
  • Supabase and Resend: used to send a notification email of your enquiry to our team.
  • Website hosting: our hosting providers process technical data needed to deliver the website securely.
  • Google Analytics: only if you accept analytics cookies, Google processes information about how you use the site (such as pages viewed and approximate location) to give us anonymous usage statistics.

We don't share your information with anyone else for marketing.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them on our cookie banner, and we don't use advertising cookies. Your choice is remembered in your browser and you can change it at any time. See our cookie policy for details.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, provide or arrange the care you've asked about, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email care@birminghamangels.co.uk or call 0121 838 1717. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
